About CodeMeter
CodeMeter is a software protection and licensing technology developed by Wibu Systems. mXrap uses CodeMeter to manage software licenses and protect intellectual property.

Installation
The CodeMeter Runtime must be installed on both client machines and licence servers. The installation process is the same for both, but the configuration differs.
Prerequisites
- Windows 10/11 64-bit operating system
- Administrator privileges for installation
- Internet connection (for initial download and Online licence setup)
Download
The latest CodeMeter Runtime is available on the mXrap Downloads page.
Client Installation
- Download the CodeMeter Runtime installer
- Run
CodeMeterRuntime.exewith administrator privileges - Follow the installation wizard
- Restart your computer when prompted
- The CodeMeter Control Center will appear in your system tray
Once installed, you can configure your licence:
- Dongle: Plug the USB dongle into an available port
- Online: Use the Online Licence Setup guide
- Software: Contact for licence file
- Network: Configure the server address in About mXrap
Server Installation
For network licence deployments, install CodeMeter Runtime on your licence server:
- Download the CodeMeter Runtime installer
- Run
CodeMeterRuntime.exewith administrator privileges - Follow the installation wizard
- When prompted, select "Network Server" mode
- Restart your computer when prompted
After installation, configure the server:
- Plug in the physical dongle (if using Dongle licence type)
- Or install the Software licence file
- Or configure Online licence access

Verification
After installation, verify CodeMeter is running:
- Look for the CodeMeter Control Center icon in your system tray
- Click it to open the Control Center
- Confirm your licence appears in the list with status "Enabled" or "Connected"

Usage
CodeMeter Control Center
The CodeMeter Control Center is the primary interface for managing your CodeMeter installation.
Accessing Control Center
- Windows System Tray: Click the CodeMeter icon in your system tray
- Start Menu: Search for "CodeMeter Control Center"
Main Features
Licence Status
- View all connected licences (physical dongles, software licences, network licences)
- Check licence status (Enabled, Connected, Expired, etc.)
- View licence details and expiration dates
Dongle Management
- View connected USB dongles
- Check dongle status and firmware version
- Manage dongle access permissions
Server Configuration
- Enable/disable Network Server mode
- Configure licence access permissions
- Monitor active sessions and users
Common Tasks
Check Licence Status
- Open CodeMeter Control Center
- Look for your licence in the list
- Verify the status shows "Enabled" or "Connected"
Access WebAdmin Interface
- Open CodeMeter Control Center
- Click the "WebAdmin" button
- Your default web browser will open to the configuration interface

WebAdmin Interface
The CodeMeter WebAdmin is a web-based interface for advanced configuration and monitoring.
Accessing WebAdmin
- Open CodeMeter Control Center
- Click the "WebAdmin" button
- Your default browser will open to
http://localhost:22352
You may see a security warning about the certificate. This is normal - proceed to the page.
Key Configuration Areas
Configuration > Basic
- Server Search List: Add network licence server addresses for clients to discover
- WebAdmin Settings: Configure password protection and write access
Configuration > Server
- Network Server: Enable to broadcast licences to network clients
- Licence Access Permissions: Control which devices can access your licences
Licence Monitoring
- Sessions: View active users and their licence usage
- Licences: View detailed information about all available licences
Common Tasks
Add a Network Server Address
- Navigate to Configuration > Basic > Server Search List
- Click "Add"
- Enter the server IP address or hostname
- Click "Apply"
Enable Write Access
- Navigate to Configuration > Basic > WebAdmin
- Click the "R" button in the top right to switch to write mode
- Enter the WebAdmin password if prompted
- Make your changes
- Click "Apply"

Network Port
CodeMeter uses TCP/UDP port 22350 by default for network communication. Ensure this port is open on your firewall if using network licences.
